I had his problem in Boston and put it down to a damaged shield, but then I had
the same problem in New York a couple of weeks ago with an SPS200-SB, which has
balanced outputs. On both occasions, however, the RFI was only evident whilst
monitoring; it did not print to the recording. In NY I got interference on the
East Side over by The United Nations, but not in Central Park or Grand Central:
East Side was with the SPS-200, Central Park and Grand Central with the
TetraMic.I was using a Busman-Audio modified DR-680 on both occasions.

I've used the TetraMic and the SPS-200 in RF-heavy situations before in the UK,
but only had problems (with both) at RAF bases with radar blips at low level.

We live in a very noisy world in terms of RFI and it's only going to get worse,
I think.

Regards,

John
