Hi List, My Busman-modified DR-680 will be available for sale shortly. Finally saved up enough to lay out on a used 788T SSD, so this one has to go.
Selling to the UK & Europe only, I'm afraid, as the US new price makes it uneconomical. 1 X Tascam DR-680, modified by Busman Audio (quieter, cleaner, etc.) A couple of minor faults - nothing serious or affecting recording/playback, but the latch on one of the mic inputs is faulty and there's a tiny trace of glue on the screen. Latest firmware installed, making it a great machine for use with TetraMics, Soundfields, etc, plus M/S encode/decode and full eight-track recording (6 analogue in, stereo digital in.) Does NOT come with the original box, but does come with documentation. 1 x PortaBrace DR-680 case 2 x Transcend 8 GB SDHC cards Special price of £700 to list members, including insured special delivery. (New price inc. VAT currently hovering around the £850 mark.) Busman mod: This modification provides much better detail and natural sound than the stock unit. All of the njm4580 op amps are changed out for high speed, extremely low noise op amps. The input capacitors are changed out for better values that allow for great bass response with an open sound and smooth high end that has excellent detail. This modification lowers the noise floor in the high gain setting by over -8db. The modifications will work very well in a huge variety of applications including nature recording, film, and music.
