If he's trying to patents ambisonics and headtracking he has no chance, howeve rif he has developed a new modification of ambisonics that lllows soundsources to appear very close to the listener without just playing around with reverb and frequency filtering (Ambisonics is not very good at this currently) then that would be new and patentable.....
