Your memory probably fails the the memory part of the Power On Self Test
(POST).

Try reseating all the simms. If it uses Dip memory, try pushing them down,
but make sure the back of the board is supported.

Probably not....I got a free computer froma lady at work that way. The shop
she took it to, supposedly "tried everything they new to do", but couldn't
get the computer up and running. The first time I poped the hood in
daylight I noticed the problem.....a simm had become unseated. I reseated
it and the computer fired up, no problems. It was a Gateway 386DX33. I
ended up parting it out, using some parts myself, and family. I auctioned
off the rest on Ebay.
