I think this problem has to do with the newer HTTP 1.1 protocol. With
a recent text browser like the latest edition of Nettamer or Lynx
which handles HTTP 1.1 there is no problem whatsoever in accessing
this URL. There is even a text-only page,
http://mdrury.hypermart.net/text.html
specially designed for visually impaired users.

However, with old Bobcat, it wasn't possible to access neither of
these pages.

I don't think Microsoft is to blame in this case. The server-software
was Apache. Not M$, that I know of. It also had "FrontPage". Who
manufactures that?
