  Hi
The IBM I have has a 3 ISA slot riser card that plugs in to the middle of
the mother board, and the 3.5 flopy and hard drive both have ribbons going
to the mother board.
I have a 40 mb plus development plus hard card 40. This a 40 mb hard
drive built on a ISA card. I was able to plug it into a few diferent
computers and it worked.
I also was able to get a 40 mb C gate drive to work in an IBM 286, but I
would like to use the on board controller if at all posible.
When you have 3 ISA slots in a computer it seems you always are running
out of slots to conect devices to.
Another thing that's a problem whith the IBM's is finding memory for them.
The one I am trying to do the hard drive for has two 30 pin sim slots in it,
and the other ones have foure 30 pin sim slots in them. Also the foure sim
sloted beasts, the sims are straight up pirpendicular to the mother board.
The two sim sloted 286 the two sims are at a lower than 45 digree angle to
the mother board.

  Pete
