the thing happened at least for four days's donloads these last times:
I suspect it's the ANSI driver: but maybe it's Nettamer - but it
happened consistenty; after the
"... In English, auf deutsch, po"<==here it breaks out WHILE DOWNLOADING
mail, and the download screen shows some two to two-and-a-half line of
garbage. Nettamer cuts off/hangs/stops (luckily, it doesn't transmit
any more commands to the mail server either, so no mail is lost).
I have no explanation, except for the repeated and consistent ocurrence.
And there had been *no* other occurences like that hitherto.
I use OpenDOS/DR-DOS (7) on this machine, with a HERC mono screen, and
Nettamer 1.08XT; the ANSI driver is loaded (which is why I suspect that
one too as a possible source of the problem).
There were a number of Per's postings going through all right, *with*
(apparently) the same signature. But I repeat that this type of break
in downloading with Nettamer *only ever* happened on these occasions,
and only since - approximately: I did not note the date of the first
occurrence - about the beginning of his week.
I posted it here on this list (and not as a privte mail) to find out if
anyone else had experienced this effect.
