I just went through a tense waiting, doing an fdisk on my HDD which already
runs disk mangler from OnTrack to handle the win98 partition. Didn't know
if fdisk would let it stay there. When I rebooted the ontrack got mad,
said it had invalid partition tables. I rebooted to the ontrack boot disk
(after trying other things) and (including much useless experimenting)
selected from advance, the update MBR or something. I don't have that
memory Ben said would be more useful than intellect.... Smoked too much
grass, if you don't smoke it, keep it that way...
anyway, it updated with little fuss and I was pleased to find that win98
was still there with it's familiar everything.
The long and short of it is that fdisk didn't kill the existing partitions,
MBR, etc.

That's the actual number of the beast, 666 was not the numeral system
currently in use at the time of the writing of Revelations.
