Yes, one thing that was not mentioned here for creating a swap partition
(doing it the old fashioned way anyway, I've never used redhat, so can't
state positively whether it's necessary) is to run mkswap /dev/hd?? once
the partition is created. Then use the swapon /dev/hd?? (replace ?? with
your proper disk and partition of course) Also, when I installed the 10GB
disk that is now in softcon, I originally tried to set it up on a p133,
before moving it into the 200MHZ machine that is softcon. Unfortunately,
this failed miserably, as the bios in the 133 machine could not see the
full 10GB disk. However, once it was moved to the 200MHZ machine, it all
worked perfectly. Of course, a 350MHZ machine should have a new enough
bios to recognize the thing, but it is a possibility nonetheless. Again,
I used the old fashioned way of fdisk /dev/hda to make my partitions, but
I would guess disk druid would act accordingly. (really gotta install
redhat one of these days so I can instruct folks in the differences.)
Anyway, hope this helps.
