But why does it work with one harddisk and not with the other?? On the same computer,
just the harddisks
swapped? As far as I can see the jumpers are identically set (on the controller card
with the ports and floppy
and harddiskcontacts there are none)

There probably was another com-port, I have tried to call the existing one both com1
and com2, but as soon as
I type "ctty com1:" I get this write error. The mousedriver can not find the mouse
either.
Can I install the port by typing;
device=C:\DOS\COM.SYS n,adress,IRQ to config.sys??
Like in OS/2?
( I know, I could just try in stead of asking, for the moment I have put the machines
together and spend most
time playing Tetris, the absolute original version, of course...)
I tried adding a comport on a separate card, but it did not help, I got IRQ??? in
stead of 4 or 3.
The batteries work perfectly, they will probably last long. Now that I have the setup
disks too (my pentium had
some problems with the very ancient 5,25 drives, but at last it worked), setting up
the few things that can be
set up, is not a problem. Your advices helped me a lot!
