Regarding your backpack that won't accept a sound card...
I saw, a couple of times, that J&R Music World Catalogue was selling a
device you plug into the parallel port that emulates a Sound-Blaster Pro.
I almost bought it , but then I changed jobs.
I wanted to use it on my work PC, then tote it when I went on travel with
my old 386 laptop and then bring it home. Basically, it would have
nbecome my travelling sound card.
