Using Delaware Dosfax since long on my survivor pc's I did not plan else as
I got a Pentium II. The choice of this machine was not completely free
because in this country (Indonesia) survivor pc's are difficult to get,
or at least very difficult to repair as spare parts not ready available unless
you have one of the latest machines so when my 386 got some severe problems
with its BIOS the choice of a Pentium was more or less logical I thought. As
my old modem got some problems with a lightning, did not like it, I bought a
modem of which I was sure it would not let me down, US Robotics 56K
external, no, I do not like PnP. As I do not want Winblows on the machines,
you know "general protection error", "delete dir Windows" I installed all my
favorites and from there on wards I have problems. My dear Symphony does not
function anymore and quits very fast with a fresh rebooting of the machine
(still working on that one) , Dosfax is able to receive faxes but sending
them is not possible. I get a "FAx communication error:50" and if I try to
run the PC as a class 2 fax machine my whole system freezes and only a three
finger salute brings it back to live. It shows an error messages with a lot
of numbers but with following legible text: "Invalid Opcode Exception from
V86 Mode Process: Root" and after invitation to exit the program which
caused the message it shows "Idle" instead of "Root". Can somebody help me
with the error messages. I really do want to start with Winblows programs
unless I am so far as to let it run under Linux which I freshly installed
but have not mastered yet.

MicroSoft? is that some kind of a toilet paper?
