Sounds more like a hardware problem. What sort of motherboard is it?
(Chipset etc) What CPU? Are the jumper settings right? Is the
cooling fan working? If it IS hardware, Winblows will freeze even
worse than DOS. DOS says "Well that's rooted so I can ignore it if
you want" Windoze just goes "Hey somethings not right, and
you're not going to use to rest of your PC either"
