Search either Simtel or Garbo for VMiX or vmix285.zip. You'll find it
there. However, I have a little later version, vmix287.zip, which is not in
these sites.
I happened to come across this program while browsing a CD collection of
shareware/freeware on the PB/Xtra archive (that I purchased some months
ago). I guess I was surprised to see this sort of thing -- multitasking --
being designed for the DOS environment. It looks suspiciously similar to
what we see done with UNIX and Linux.
Unfortunately, I cannot seem to locate a URL for ComSoft. It looks as
though (at least) they once had a BBS.
I probably won't install the program on any of my machines at the moment --
I was just curious if anyone had heard of this type of software for DOS
multitasking, and if anyone had tried it out before.
