I tried it out about two years ago and was not very satisfied. But maybe
I was just not smart enough to configure my system better. One of my
problem was that VMIX seemed to refuse working with 4DOS. My computer (a
386 with 4MB at that time) hung up more than with Windows.
That's the reason I give my vote for TSX, a multiuser/multitasking OS
against a DOS extender. Its CL makes 4DOS unnecessary.
