I just tested Micro$oft Word 97 then by making a test document.

IT SAVES YOUR MISTAKES!

I typed:

The quick brown fox jumpd over the lazy dog.

then saved it, then changed 'jumpd' to 'jumps', and then viewed the
doc file...sure enough it says jumpd and the s is somewhere further
down the doc.

I found this out when Word magically 'corrupted' about a two days
worth of document I'd been working on. There was no disk errors,
no incorrectly shutdown software or OS it just felt like corrupting
my document then when I tried to open it it says 'Would you like to
try and recover the document?' so I try and I get this huge
document with paragraphs I'd typed duplicated hundreds of times,
and mistakes still left in it even though I knew I changed them, all
in no particular order. Nice, I wonder if Micro$oft's 'testers' found
that one?
