As far as I understood, CP/M cloned the general UNIX interface.
(Do notice how similiar is the general idea with both UNIX/Linux's
and DOS's CLI is. Besides the drives in DOS and the flexibility of
UNIX, they got almost the same principle working)
Windows is just a GUI shell program written for DOS.
