Hello Or,
}- As far as I understood, CP/M cloned the general UNIX
}- interface. (Do notice how similiar is the general idea
}- with both UNIX/Linux's and DOS's CLI is.
}- Besides the drives in DOS and the flexibility of UNIX,
}- they got almost the same principle working)
Yes, I did notice this a long time ago, when I first got InterNet
access back in 1995 and began working from a Unix prompt (shell
account). I thought then that DOS and Unix must be somehow
related...
}- Windows is just a GUI shell program written for DOS.
This I have known for a long time.
But I have a question. At PC Lube & Tune
(http://pclt.cis.yale.edu/pclt/default.htm) the author says:
With Windows3.x Windows was running under DOS - with Windows9x
DOS is running under Windows. What exactly does this mean, do
you know?
