Isn't that what AOL is doing? They have lots of filters and blocks
etc for family and children. Unfortuneatly they are really expensive
compared to normal ISPs, plus you have to use an unwanted OS. ;(

] Part of the problem with filtering is how it's set to filtering. Net

Back to AOL, I heard that all their security is in the client
program, so if you get past that you'll effectively have root access.

I agree. My government doesn't believe that parents can look after
their kids, to they are making *everyone* pay. It'll be really bad if
I can't access my favourite site just because there is a "bad" word
in it. If I get offended its my own fault, since most site have
warnings "If you are offended easily go elsewhere" etc. This could be
similar to walking down a city alley where there are known to be lots
of criminals and getting mugged, then blaming the mayor or similar.

Unfortuneatly parent dont have the time and are caring less. The kids
are pestering them, so they put them in front of the TV or internet
and have a lie-down. At least they are quiet!
