TO Or Botton In Re: Blind User Interface

Your's is an Idea I've thunk about a long time.
A system would need to spell out the letters as typed in, pronounce the word
they
create, and speak with every change of a screen, mouse-pass over active screen
areas, web page change, wait state, and error state that are encountered by
the ISP's, Computers, and interfaces.

This is simplistic. I can't fill a whole group of E-mail pages with the
exact needs of
the Interface, but the gist is, the ears must replace the eyes. Artificial
intelligence
and Fuzzy Logic will need to create a near human interface that tells the
blind what's
happening every time anything at all changes, happens, or snafu's on their
unit.

For Example, while waiting to connect to a Web page, the person must be
reassured
what is happening. A voice would say "Waiting to connect". If connection did
not
occur, a tone and voice assurance would occur saying "Error 404, page not on
server
system" or, "Site is overloaded or down, try later."

All the things we "sighted" can see on the web, less graphics, would need to
be spoken by the VUI or Vocal User Interface. Embedding Streamed or self
prepping
WAV,AU, etc. files where needed in pages and linear event segments so those
who can't see, HEAR the activity on the screen. Coupled with Braille
Keyboards,
or touchpads using most frequently accessed words and algorythms, this
facilitiates
the ease with which the blind may use the 'net.
