> BTW. Quake is a game that runs under ONLY DOS and requires a Pentium,
I beg to differ! It runs.... on my 486/66. Actually, it runs well enough
to do a little death matching ;`)
Just have to shrink it down to 2/3 of the screen at lowest details
and it runs just fine. No matter what it says on the box, just about
ANY game out there that claims to need a Pentium 90 will run
respectably on a 486/66. That is my observation. That is my
friend's observation on his box. It's mainly just that when 486's
were starting to get long in the tooth game companies figured a
P90 would be the lowest system most gamers would have so they
just collectively started slapping the 'needs a P90' requirement on
the side of the box as a sort of unofficial standard, probably never
even checked to see how it ran on anything slower. But a word of
caution, if something says it need a P133... it almost definitly
NEEDS a P133 (I've seen Virtual Fighter 1 running on this box,
NOT a pretty sight).
