I was once looking for a horizontal xistor which I
couldn't cross reference and to my surprize a
semiconductor wholesaler actually came up with the part
even though the general electronics parts places hadn't
heard of it. Maby you could get lucky too.

It's too bad, but schematics seem to be a thing of the
past. Nobody gives them out anymore. Monitors are the
worst for this. Often though, they use the same design as
someone else so you could possibley get lucky by looking
at other monitors of the same type.

No picture at all? Absolutely no scan lines? If you get
scan lines of any kind, then you know that the horizontal
xistor is working, atleast to some degree. Then you also
would know that there is some other problem. Even if there
is no horizontal there should still be vertical. I think
too, that the flyback is often a problem. They can have a
small crack which is hard to see. If that is the case, it
is probably not worth fixing. :(

That's my meagre offering. There's a couple of people on
the list with more serious electronic
knowledge/experience, maby they will have some better
suggestions.
Nice to see someone actually getting technical. <g>
