I am not sure that that is possible, given that CGA/RGB are digital (TTL) and
VGA is analog. I would love to be shown wrong, however. I have a file that
details how to build a simple converter that will take the CGA signal and
convert it to an NTSC composite video signal that will drive an amber/green
mono composite monitor. Some CGA/RGB video systems/cards have an output pin
on the connector that has an NTSC composite video signal available. My
Commodore 128 has this video signal and I used it with an old amber and green
screen monitor and it was quite acceptable for 80 column text work.
