Recently I bought a new uptodate mainboard with a Cyrix CPU and above
controller with 2MB. I was very disappointed when I saw that Arachne
could not recognise the S3 chip. Not only that, it has absolutely refused
to work with the card on a 800x600 resolution. The provided VESA 2.0
driver didn't help anything. It only works with a loooow resolution and
pretends to have 256k only. In addition, it has some (minor) problems
with other programs, too. I had to replace it with my old ET4000 1MB
card. Does anybody know a solution (beside throwing it away)?
