This release consists of the following files

        elks-0.0.79.tar.gz - Kernel source
elks-0.0.79.diff.gz - Differences from the last version
        images.zip - Binary disk images
System.map.gz - System map of the kernel binaries

Source code for the non kernel code found on the disk images was released
recently and is available from from the same locations, as:-

        elkscmd-19990827.tar.gz

Most significantly this release fixes the problem reported by many users
which caused the system to lock up when it asks for a root disk.

Here are the release notes for this version:-

Many bug fixes to filesystem by Thomas G. McWilliams.
Fix to exec time memory allocation by Greg Haerr.
Reduction in size of various data structures.
Addition of many new data types to make code cleaner.
        Major cleanup of signal code.
Fix of bug which prevented boot/root disks working.
        More CONFIG options.
        Code optimisations to reduce size.

I will be away on a training course for the next week or so so will not be
able to fully keep up with the list traffic. Please report bugs anyway as
there are many people on the list who should be able to help solve any
problems.
