DR-DOS works great! They are up to 7.03 now. You can get it from

I once tried to get Win95 to talk to a DR-DOS network, and it wasn't pretty. That
was a while back but I think I got it sort of working. I couldn't use the Windows
clients, but had to copy over on floppies the netware client from my DR machine.
Yuk!

I'm not sure if the electrical is the same, but I would'nt want to try it since
RJ-45 is 8-wire (Ethernet only uses 4 wires anyway). RJ-45 is cheaper too.

You do have to have a T-connector and a Terminator. It stinks having to do it
that way, but that's coax for you! There is a special way to make an RJ-45 cable
so that you do not have to use a hub when connecting only two computers. I'm not
sure how to do it, but if you want, I can look it up for you.
