My view of the matter, Yolanda, is that what ultimately defines a computer
operating system is not nearly as significant as the quality and *efficacy*
of any given operating system.  Since computers are fundamentally designed
with digital principles and mathematical logic, wouldn't it be more
reasonable to assume that their most transparent operating system should
reflect these basic facts?  Granted, many folks don't prefer a transparent
world.  They would prefer to mask the ugly realities with pictures.  Yet
logic can be beautiful.  It has its place.  So do pictures.  I learned how
to draw pictures in Kindergarten and learned to write grammatically correct
sentences several years later...
