The linux gateway for a 10base-T lan is a good solution.
If you don't like to setup a linux box, you can buy a socalled
Internet Sahring Box (ISB) http://www.nexland.de or
hhttp://www.nexland.com.
It's size is like a modem and you can connect upto 3 modems
and it has an 10Base-T connector.
Administration may be done even with a simple terminal emulator
or via an internet browser with support for java.
Price for the smallest version about 500 DM.
This was the solution we connected a small company to the Internet.
But attention, many ISP in Germany exclude ISB explicitely from
contracts. But they are not able to figure out, if there is a
single user machine connected or a ISB.
