Heh. I had the board drawing of his as my wallpaper for a while. Can't give
him credit for 10Base-T though! At least we're up to the start of this
decade now...
Well, did I mention that with only a bit more care, the same cable could
conceivably used to provide 100Mbps or even gigabit-Ethernet? If anyone's
going to do ANY sort of new cabling, I'd strongly urge the use of Cat 5. The
costs compared to most anything else new is reasonable.
I've played with enough serial LAN links over the years to know they
generally are pretty disappointing. To try to involve money around such a
thing would be bad news I suspect.
