I am running a 486DX-33 with a 586/133mhz overdrive cpu and 32 MB RAM. I
can't play an .mp3 smoothly. I can handle .RA okay, though it's not nice,
it's clear enough to understand. The mp3s just break up and stutter. My
bus is too slow at only 33mhz throughput. Needs a pentium MoBo. Believe
me, it's not for trying. If you can make friends with someone with a
pentium and cdr you can get them to convert the mp3 into wav files and burn
to cd for you. Then you'll have a cd that can be played in the stereo as
well as on computer.
