Hi.
I'm going to buy a new laptop (really need one - my current laptop
is not mine.). The offer from IBM is very intresting..

I've managed to get the details about the "Linux compatible" laptop.
Problem is, they want to sell it to me with Windows 98 (or NT) only.
Do you think that its possible to use the Refund option for getting
"software that which I did not requested"?
I tried to ask for a clean hard disk, but they said it was impossible.

Another question, in the hardware area:
They say the computer is Linux compatible. I'm going to use DOS on it.
(I didnt got used to Linux just yet.) As far as I understood, in
order to support Linux the computer should be able to support non-PnP
OSs. Is this the situation.. or by "Linux compatible" they mean
"oh, we've just written a bunch of drivers that will make Linux support
the PnP stuff"?

In my current "designed for Windows" laptop, if I use DOS, I cant
use the sound card and modem. I'm afraid that the same might happen with
the new laptop.

Thoughts?
