These would be good concerns to address directly with the company before
you hand over any cash.  If they assure you, have them put it in writing so
you can hold them to it.  Remember, the sale is the first concern for a
salesman.  It is up to you to ensure that what you purchase is what you
want.  You could even be so bold as to hand them the DOS install disks you
intend to use and instruct them to install the dos and uninstall the
win9x.  At least they'd have to prove your investment will do what YOU want
it to do!  Are they the only computer store in town?
