In a message dated 99-11-09 00:04:01 EST, you write: << My question is -- if any of you can tell me -- are there a "missing wire or line connection" in the Star printer, which is present in other "normal" printers? >> If that Star printer is as old as I think, it may have DIP switches which need to be set. Look for a cover on the Printer under which should be those switches. Good Luck on the settings, I know NOT where you can look. Remember to test the printer's integrity by having it attatched to the parallel port, power on, and turn off and then on your computer. the printer should cycle or make noise. If not-check the interface cable. soulement To unsubscribe from SURVPC send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with unsubscribe SURVPC in the body of the message.
