The champ also has pliers but I'm with you on the SRU.  I have a little one
in my handy-dandy zippered repair kit that I got with my A+ course.  It's
only 6 inches long but has been of use over and over.  Really nice for
setting a screw in hard to reach holes too.  Not only retrieves, but can
prevent the need to retrieve!
