Hello all,
I plan to install Windows95, OS/2 and Linux on a 4GB disk on my very-close-to-SurvPC
(133MHz Pentium) and boot them with IBM Bootmanager. This means, that I will
have to put Lilo on the Linuxpartition and not in MBR, and according to the
documentation this means that the Linuxpartition has to be below the 1024th cylinder
to be
bootable. The disk is installed as LBA in the BIOS, so now is the question, will Linux
think, that the disk has only 1024 cylinders, or do I have to install Linux within the
real
first 1024?
I would prefer to put Windows first, then OS/2 and Linux in the last 1/3 or so. I am
not in the mood for the trial and error method of finding out, I will save that for
FreeBSD.
Good advice is better. I have to have Windows95 to be able to play all the VQF-files I
have with Russian hits of the 30's and 40's, it can not be left out.
Has someone got experiences to share???
Per B.
