Hello:
I pose this question:
Would it be theoretically possible for someone to write a DOS program
that would be compatible with Juno Mail?
It would certainly be a nice program to have, given that Juno is free
and the Juno servers may be accessed from many localities with just
a local dialup number.
The Juno web page, http://www.juno.com, says that Window$ is one of
their system requirements. All of the Juno Mail programs available
there for free download are Window$ programs.
It would seem to me that it would be perfectly legal for some
maverick programmer to write and distribute his own DOS Juno Mail
program provided he would write the program from scratch and refrain
from "reverse engineering". Something similar to this has been done
legally with ICQ, another free web service that normally requires
Window$.
My question is:
Would it be theoretically possible to write a DOS program for Juno
Mail? If so, does anyone know if someone is working on such a
project?
