Given a *real* choice, I would probably pursue QNX,
which has an even longer track record. However it
has a high price point for developers.
V2_OS looks like it will be suitable for minimalist
hardware, possibly even embedding. The trick (and
this will be true of ANY new OS) is to make it
possible to port applications at the source level.
If they can make it possible to bring up familiar
titles by simply recompiling, then they have a shot
and we're not all "starting over from scratch."
Wheel re-invention is hazardous to OS longevity.
