I have seen all the various forms that have been described, including
keyboards with the pointing device integral yet the cord splits into
standard keyboard plug and serial plug for the trackball/glidepad, what
have you.
I have also seen where the cord is normal interface at the computer end and
an rj11 jack into the keyboard rather than hard wired in.  I have one
machine that uses the telephone style jack (not rj11, weird size) to
interface with the computer.  I suppose it would be nice if the original
author gave a more specific description, but I assume he has gotten the
necessary info or else we'd have heard more.
