I don't know about whether Battlestar Galactica's effects were done
with Amigas, but another scifi series whose name escapes me (it had
Bruce Boxleitner in it) had the effects done on Amigas. It might
still be the machine of choice for Hollyweird special effects if
Commodore had not bit the big one several years ago. BTW, Gateway
owns the Amiga technology now. I don't know what their plans are for
it. I bought an Amiga 1000 two summers ago at a yard sale for $10 US,
but I could only use it with my old Commodore composite monitors as I
did not have an RGB monitor with a compatible cable to connect it. It
is still stored away till I get all that free time to play with it
someday. ;)
