Actually, this thread wasn't originally about me, but I have a way of being
self centered ~grin~
My difficulty started with a modem and after all sorts of tests and
experiments, it would appear that *something* is wrong with my com
ports. Nope, it's not irq conflicts or cables on backwards.
I gotta go back and study my cmos some more, but I'm a bit too wiped to
think today.
Software tests don't show any problems with the ports. The serial ports
just don't work properly!
