There was a program out there called bailout.exe which would shutdown your windows 3.x program. A friend of mine used it many times to get out of windows. I'm sure you could rig a batch file tied to an icon to bail you out of windows, run your program, and restart windows. I don't know how bailout.exe works, it may not work from a batch file from within windows, but who knows.
