I used HotPOP for quite a while with regular email clients including
Net-Tamer and other DOS mailers.
For reasons unknown I can no longer access the account, though.
Maybe they've changed something.
Anyway, it has POP3 and SMTP but before you can send mail you have to
first access the POP stuff unless you send mail within a certain `window'
of time after retrieving mail (something like 20 minutes).
