Bernie,

I had one of those mice with the scroller wheel and if you use it
with Nagy Daniel's Cute Mouse driver, it worked just fine as a
regular 2 button mouse. the wheel was just not functional. I have
seen some no name scroller mice at a local computer shop for about
$10 USD or slightly less.
