In general:

1-button: Mac and DOS
2-button: Windows (mostly 9x but 3.x a bit as well), Atari, Amiga
3-button: X

However I did notice a DOS program that wants three buttons - Arachne
1.60b2 :/

BTW: Has anyone ever seen a Mac with more than one button?
