Roedeers are small deer, like a big dog, a greyhound or something. I met one in the
street this (sunday) morning, when I was driving to closed to it, it twisted around so
quickly, that it fell over. Roedeers are not meant to run on asphalt.

Anyway, I had some spring iris in the garden, I do not any more. The trick to keep
them away is to make them feel fenced in, then they will go to the neighbours. I
usually
hang out ropes, so far apart, that the roe can not jump over both in one jump, and so
close, that it can not easily land between them.

Every morning (3.30 am) when I drive away from home and turn on the main beams I can
see roedeers and hares in the field at the end of the street. (If I have defrosted the
windshield properly, that is.) The roedeers keep close to the forest, but the hares
are all over town (3000 inhabitants).
