I've already descieded on using it. Now if only I can figure out how to
program the UART in Linux so that I can actually use my modem (and not only
issue commands to it that get stuck in the UART).

But of course, just like one turns off the BIOS POST efter the computer is
set up.

Yes, the list (or rather Boanne, Pippi and a few others) have been very
heavy on the ammount of mails. Too bad I missed it all... I can't add much
now after so much has been said (and reading the mails in a webbrowser
isn't as easy nor convenient as in a mail program.
