I have this cyrix 266 board that's not reading it's drives. I had it set
up with other drives about a month ago and it worked just fine. I'm
wondering if the drives are too old for it? I dont' have the drive specs
handy, but they're older drives from when 450 MB was really big. I've gone
over the cables and they seem okay. the power supply was fine when I last
used it, a month ago. Curiously, the cdrom, also last known as good about
a month ago, doesn't seem to be getting any power! I'm not working hard on
this box right now, RL is busy, but if ya's want something to chew on, well
it's second hand junk hardware, but it IS pretty powerful stuff compared to
the scope of this list. If ya's wanna continue with it, I'll get the specs
together, slowly though.
I want to run this as a linux machine and learn linux, eventually to use as
a server for the house's internet connection. Gateway and stuff.
