If it were me I would do this:

-disconnect all hard drives and cd
-look up specs and jumper settings on internet
-verify correct jumper settings for master/slave on each drive
-make sure computer boots with only floppy
-connect master IDE HD, and get computer to boot
-add addtional hard drives until computer boots with all
-add cd-rom

Pay close attention to cable orientation.... I have "known for sure" and
still been wrong :-)

only add bios info for each drive as you install the drive
