Have you tried running the RedHat sndconfig utility to see if it finds the
card? I've had to do this step manually after a few installs to put the
final touches on audio if it's not detected properly during the initial
install.

Another possibility is that the card is no longer supported in the kernel
that ships with the distribution. You may end up compiling a customized
kernel. This can be an intimidating task the first couple of times through,
but fortunately the RedHat documentation give some VERY GOOD info on how to
proceed, especially concerning modules. You may also wind up with a much
more optimized kernel for your system.
