Interesting Unix-like realtime OS QNX is now available for free at
<http://get.qnx.com>. It is a 24 Mb download; installation does not require
partitioning of your HD (simply adds a menu choice to config.sys). Supports
Unicode.
If I remember correctly, QNX runs on Intel 386 and upwards. On my computer
this installation took 600 Mb of HD space, but really only 300 Mb are used.
The rest you can fill with software packages downloadable from QNX website
at your choice.
An ISO image for burning on CD also is available.
